My Research
Well hello!
If you made it this far, you are either lost or have way too much time on your hands.
This is, for lack of better words, my Research Page.
Right now I’m researching how middle school classroom teachers motivate their students to read. I wonder what strategies they use (or don’t use). I wonder what works and doesn’t work.
I’m also researching how to teach and support my classroom teachers who may want to use more effective reading motivation strategies.
In July 2010 I will have the privilege and honor to visit India on a Fulbright-Hays Scholarship. During this 5-week seminar, I will have opportunities to meet educators in India. We will share what we know about curriculum development, and the challenges we face within our educational systems. I hope to return with 1.) new insights and ideas about supporting my classroom teachers, and 2.)new ways to weave a global perspective into my teaching practice.
My Ever-Growing Reading List
This list will give me gray hairs. Oh well.
